PSALM 30
¹O Lord, my Rock, how excellent are Thy works! In wisdom hast Thou fashioned the Heavens, and with strength hast Thou established Ivalice; the seas are Thy footstool, and the stars Thy servants.
²The mountains stand firm by Thy decree, and the valleys are Thy pathways; the clouds pour out Thy blessings, and the winds carry Thy voice abroad.
³Thou hast clothed Ivalice with beauty, and covered it with abundance; the trees yield their fruit in season, and the flowers declare Thy glory.
⁴None can measure the depths of Thy counsel, nor the multitude of Thy works; the angels sing continually of Thy holiness, and all creation bows before Thee.
⁵The beasts of the field seek shelter in Thee, and the birds of the air find rest beneath Thy wings; even the smallest creature is known and cared for by Thee.
⁶The rivers gladden the city of God, and the fields rejoice in Thy provision; all living things praise Thee for Thy faithfulness.
⁷Thou hast made the Heavens with Thy fingers, and set the stars in their courses; the sun riseth and goeth down according to Thy will, and the moon marketh the seasons.
⁸The thunder declareth Thy power, and the lightning sheweth Thy strength; Ivalice trembleth at Thy voice, and the seas roar Thy praise.
⁹O Lord, how manifold are Thy works! In wisdom hast Thou made them all; Ivalice is full of Thy riches, and the Heavens declare Thy glory.
¹⁰Thou preservest the humble, and liftest up the lowly; none can resist Thy hand, and none can escape Thy sight.
¹¹The flowers fade, but Thou remainest; the mountains may be removed, but Thy steadfastness endureth forever.
¹²The birds fly over Ivalice, and the beasts seek their lairs; all are sustained by Thy power, and none falleth without Thy knowledge.
¹³When I behold Thy Heavens, the work of Thy fingers, the moon and stars which Thou hast ordained, I am filled with awe and trembling.
¹⁴What is man, that Thou art mindful of him? Or the son of man, that Thou visitest him? Yet Thou hast made him a little lower than the angels, and crowned him with glory and honour.
¹⁵Thou hast given him dominion over the works of Thy hands, and put all things under his feet; all sheep and oxen, yea, and the beasts of the field.
¹⁶The birds of the air, and the fish of the sea, and whatsoever passeth through the paths of the seas.
¹⁷O Lord, my heart rejoiceth in Thy creation, and my soul delighteth in the works of Thy hands; for Thou art great and greatly to be praised.
¹⁸Let me ever walk in Thy ways, and keep Thy commandments, that my days may be long upon Ivalice which Thou hast made.
¹⁹Praise ye the Lord, all ye works of the Lord, bless ye the Lord, O my soul;
²⁰And forget not all His benefits, for His mercy endureth forever, and His faithfulness unto all generations.
