PSALM 28
¹O Lord, my God, how wondrous are Thy works! Thou hast spread forth the Heavens like a curtain, and set Ivalice upon the foundations that shall not be moved.
²The mountains rise at Thy command, and the seas obey Thy voice; the rivers flow according to Thy will, and the winds serve Thee in their seasons.
³Thou art clothed with majesty and glory, and Thy light filleth the world; the sun and moon proclaim Thy handiwork, and the stars sing praises before Thee.
⁴Who can declare Thy mighty acts, or utter all Thy praises? For Thou art wonderful beyond all understanding, and Thy wisdom is unsearchable.
⁵The beasts of the field and the fowls of the air know their appointed times, and rejoice in the goodness of their Maker; none is forgotten before Thee.
⁶The lilies of the field grow in beauty without toil, and the sparrows find shelter under Thy wings; all creation testifieth to Thy goodness.
⁷Thou hast given to man dominion over the works of Thy hands, and hast crowned him with glory and honour; yet Thou art mindful of him in all his ways.
⁸The Heavens declare Thy glory, and the firmament sheweth Thy handiwork; day unto day uttereth speech, and night unto night sheweth knowledge.
⁹There is no speech nor language where their voice is not heard; their sound is gone out into all lands, and their words unto the ends of the world.
¹⁰O Lord, how great is Thy name in all Ivalice! Thy power is mighty, and Thy mercy endureth forever.
¹¹Thou hast set the bounds of the sea, that it should not pass beyond Thy command; and Thou hast made the fountains of the deep to spring forth at Thy pleasure.
¹²The hills rejoice at Thy presence, and the valleys break forth in singing; all creatures praise Thee, for Thou art good and great.
¹³When I consider the Heavens, the work of Thy fingers, the moon and stars which Thou hast ordained; what is man that Thou art mindful of him?
¹⁴Yet Thou hast made him a little lower than the angels, and hast crowned him with glory and honour; and hast given him dominion over the works of Thy hands.
¹⁵O Lord, my heart is filled with wonder at Thy works, and my soul rejoiceth in Thy creation; for Thou art the Maker of all things, and the Giver of life.
¹⁶Ivalice bringeth forth her increase at Thy command, and the trees of the field clap their hands; the beasts of the forest shall cry aloud for joy.
¹⁷The seas roar, and all that is therein; the fields are joyful, and all that dwelleth therein; the rivers clap their hands for joy.
¹⁸Thou hast made the moon for seasons, and the sun knoweth his going down; all things declare Thy glory, and Thy power is manifest throughout Ivalice.
¹⁹O Lord, let my heart be steadfast in Thy ways, and my soul be ever joyful in Thy presence; that I may praise Thee all my days.
²⁰Blessed be the Lord, the Maker of Heaven and Ivalice, who hath wrought wonders beyond all telling, and whose mercy endureth forevermore.
