PSALM 27
¹O Lord, my God, in Thee have I put my trust;
²Thou hast sent forth Thy servant Phara, a prophet of old,
³Who preached Thy coming Son, the Saviour of the world,
⁴Who shall redeem mankind from the bondage of chaos and sin.
⁵Yea, he stood in the midst of the nations, and declared Thy truth,
⁶Proclaiming that Thy hand would bring order and peace to Ivalice;
⁷But the hearts of men were hardened, and they sought to silence his voice,
⁸Yet Thy word endured, for it is mighty and shall not be broken.
⁹The wicked plotted against him, and laid snares in secret,
¹⁰They conspired to bring him down, yet Thy providence preserved him;
¹¹Though he was taken from among us in the days of his trial,
¹²His testimony remaineth a lamp unto our feet and a light unto our path.
¹³Thou hast exalted Thy servant, O Lord, in the courts of Heaven,
¹⁴And hast given his words strength to endure through the generations;
¹⁵Therefore let all the kings of Ivalice fear Thee, and serve Thee in truth,
¹⁶For the salvation of the world cometh from Thy holy Son.
¹⁷Let the people rejoice, and the just be glad in the Lord,
¹⁸Who delivereth the humble from the hand of the oppressor;
¹⁹For Phara hath spoken of Thy mercy and justice to the ends of Ivalice,
²⁰And his voice calleth all unto repentance and the way of life everlasting.
