PSALM 16
¹O Lord, Thou hast promised a light to arise upon Ivalice, and a star to shine in the darkness; behold, the day of Thy Son draweth nigh.
²The nations shall look up, and their hearts shall be glad; the kingdoms shall tremble before His majesty, and the proud shall be humbled.
³He shall come in power and great glory, riding upon the clouds, to gather His people as a shepherd doth gather his flock.
⁴The voice of the heralds proclaim His coming, and the trumpets sound in the wilderness; prepare ye the way of the Lord, and make straight His paths.
⁵The mountains shall bow down before Him, and the hills shall be made low; the valleys shall be filled with joy, and the deserts shall blossom as the rose.
⁶His sceptre shall be one of righteousness, and His throne shall be established forever; peace and justice shall flow from His presence.
⁷O ye people, lift up thy eyes and look upon the signs of His coming; the Heavens declare His glory, and Ivalice awaiteth His word.
⁸The sun shall no longer be darkened, nor the moon turn to blood; the night shall be as the day, and the light shall overcome the darkness.
⁹He shall heal the brokenhearted, and bind up their wounds; He shall bring liberty to the captives, and sight to the blind.
¹⁰The wicked shall be consumed as stubble before the fire, and the righteous shall rejoice in His salvation; for the Lord is mighty to save.
¹¹The promises of old are fulfilled, and the hope of the faithful shall not be confounded; His mercy endureth forevermore.
¹²Let Ivalice be glad, and all that dwelleth therein; let the trees of the field clap their hands for joy.
¹³He shall gather the lost sheep from the mountains, and feed them with knowledge and understanding; His yoke is easy, and His burden light.
¹⁴The wolf and the lamb shall dwell together in peace, and the lion shall eat straw as the ox; for Ivalice shall be filled with the knowledge of the Lord.
¹⁵O come, Thou long-expected One, and tarry not; let Thy Kingdom come, and Thy will be done on Ivalice as it is in Heaven.
¹⁶Let the watchmen lift up their voices and cry aloud; for the day of the Lord is at hand, and His reward is with Him.
¹⁷He shall judge the nations with equity, and rebuke many peoples; the meek shall inherit Ivalice, and the righteous shall dwell therein forever.
¹⁸Ivalice shall yield her increase, and the Heavens shall drop down righteousness; the sea shall roar and the fields shall clap their hands.
¹⁹Blessed be the Lord, who hath promised salvation to His people, and who hath set His Son upon the throne; His faithfulness endureth unto all generations.
²⁰Praise ye the Lord, all ye His saints; sing unto Him a new song, for He cometh quickly to reign in glory everlasting.
