PSALM 11
¹O Lord, arise, and lift up Thy hand; forget not the poor that call upon Thee,
²For their heart is heavy, and their cry ascendeth unto Thy throne of mercy.
³Behold, the wicked oppresseth the lowly, and despiseth the humble of heart;
⁴Yet Thou art the Judge of all Ivalice, and in Thee is the refuge of the oppressed.
⁵Consider, O Lord, the cause of Thy servant, and uphold the plea of the afflicted;
⁶Let not the enemies triumph, who lift up their scorn and mockery against the just;
⁷For their hands are full of violence, and their mouths speak lies and deceit,
⁸But Thou, O God, art mighty to save, and Thy justice shall prevail forevermore.
⁹Put down the proud in their insolence, and abase the haughty in their pride,
¹⁰Let the poor and fatherless find comfort beneath Thy wings of righteousness;
¹¹Defend the cause of the stranger, and plead the right of the widow in her distress,
¹²That all may see Thy truth and be glad, and that their hope may not be confounded.
¹³For Thou art the rock of my refuge, and my shield in the day of trial;
¹⁴In Thee I put my trust, and my heart shall not be afraid;
¹⁵Deliver me from the hands of the unjust, and vindicate me before the assembly,
¹⁶That they who seek to slander may be ashamed, and their plots come to naught.
¹⁷O Lord, make manifest Thy righteousness, and reveal Thy judgments to the nations,
¹⁸That the people may learn to walk in the paths of truth and holiness;
¹⁹For the meek shall inherit Ivalice, and the upright shall dwell in Thy presence,
²⁰And all flesh shall rejoice in Thy salvation, through the mercy of the Most High God.
