PSALM 5
¹Praise the Lord, O ye heights, and magnify Him, O foundations of Ivalice.
²For He hath spread the Heavens as a curtain, and stretched them out by the word of His mouth.
³He setteth the bounds of the seas, and holdeth the rivers in the hollow of His hand.
⁴By His wisdom Ivalice bringeth forth her fruit, and the valleys shout for joy.
⁵His voice is as thunder upon the mountains, and the clouds flee at His presence.
⁶He walketh upon the wings of the wind, and rideth in majesty upon the storm.
⁷The light of His countenance driveth away the darkness, and the night is turned to day.
⁸Who can stand before the holiness of the Lord, or endure the brightness of His glory?
⁹The angels veil their faces, and the seraphim cry one to another: Holy, holy, holy is the Lord.
¹⁰His judgments are sure, and His decrees pass not away.
¹¹The just shall dwell in His shadow, and find rest beneath His wings.
¹²The Lord is a strong tower unto the weary, and a refuge in the day of trouble.
¹³He remembereth the covenant of old, and keepeth faith with the children of dust.
¹⁴He breaketh the bow and cutteth the spear in sunder; peace followeth in His steps.
¹⁵The wicked are like chaff before the wind, and their counsel shall perish.
¹⁶But they that trust in the Lord shall flourish as the tree planted by the waters.
¹⁷Their leaf shall not wither, and their fruit shall abound in season.
¹⁸Let all the nations come and worship before Him, for His dominion is without end.
¹⁹Sing unto the Lord a new song, for His mercies are renewed every morning.
²⁰Blessed be the name of the Lord for ever; His praise shall be upon the lips of the righteous. Amen.
