CHAPTER 2
¹And it came to pass in those days, when the fullness of time was accomplished, that the Lord Most High did send forth a sign in the Heavens, to declare unto the nations the advent of His Son, the Glabados.
²And lo, there appeared in the firmament a star of exceeding brightness, surpassing the light of all other stars, and it moved not according to the courses of the Heavens, but stood fixed above the land of Betalon.
³And the multitudes that dwelt in the regions round about were sore amazed, and they spake one to another, saying, “What meaneth this marvel that hath appeared in the sky?”
⁴Now there were in the east wise men, kings of renown, who were learned in the signs of the Heavens and the ordinances of the stars.
⁵And when they beheld the star, they rejoiced with exceeding great joy, for they understood that it was the sign of the birth of the Glabados, the Son of God.
⁶Then did they prepare gifts of great price: gold, and frankincense, and saffron, the finest of their treasures, to offer unto the newborn King.
⁷And they set forth on their journey, following the star, which went before them, guiding them unto the place where the child was to be found.
⁸And as they traveled, the fame of the star spread throughout the lands, and many from diverse regions joined themselves unto the kings, desirous to behold the fulfillment of the prophecy.
⁹Among these were shepherds tending their flocks by night, who, upon seeing the star, left their sheep and followed after it, saying, “Let us go now even unto Betalon, to see this thing which is come to pass.”
¹⁰And there were also humble laborers, and merchants, and travelers, who, moved by the wonder of the sign, journeyed toward the light, their hearts filled with hope and expectation.
¹¹And the star led them through valleys and over mountains, across rivers and deserts, until they came unto the outskirts of Betalon, a town of little renown, nestled among the hills.
¹²Now the town of Betalon was poor and despised among the cities of the land, and its people were humble and lowly, laboring with their hands to eke out a living.
¹³Yet it was in this place that the Lord had chosen to reveal His glory, confounding the wisdom of the wise and exalting the meek and lowly.
¹⁴And the star stood still above a certain dwelling, a humble abode wherein dwelt a man named Ioseth and his wife Mariandel, both of the house of Dama, yet poor and of no reputation.
¹⁵And it was there, in the stillness of the night, that Mariandel brought forth her firstborn son, and wrapped Him in swaddling clothes, and laid Him in a manger, for there was no room for them in the inn.
¹⁶And the kings and the multitude that had followed the star arrived at the place, and when they saw the child, they fell down and worshipped Him, offering their gifts of gold, frankincense, and saffron.
¹⁷And the shepherds and laborers also came, and beheld the child, and glorified God for all the things that they had heard and seen, as it was told unto them.
¹⁸And the star, having fulfilled its purpose, did vanish from the sky, and the Heavens returned to their courses, yet the memory of the sign remained in the hearts of all who had witnessed it.
¹⁹Thus was the birth of Ajora Glabados, the Son of God, made known unto the nations, and the light of His coming shone forth in the darkness, and the darkness comprehended it not.
²⁰Blessed be the Lord Most High, who hath visited and redeemed His people, and hath raised up a horn of salvation for us in the house of His servant Dama.
²¹As He spake by the mouth of His holy prophets, which have been since the world began, that we should be saved from our enemies, and from the hand of all that hate us.
²²To perform the mercy promised to our fathers, and to remember His holy covenant.
²³That we, being delivered out of the hand of our enemies, might serve Him without fear, in holiness and righteousness before Him, all the days of our life.
²⁴And thou, child, shalt be called the Glabados, the Son of the Most High: for thou shalt go before the face of the Lord to prepare His ways.
²⁵To give knowledge of salvation unto His people by the remission of their sins, through the tender mercy of our God, whereby the dayspring from on high hath visited us.
²⁶To give light to them that sit in darkness and in the shadow of death, to guide our feet into the way of peace.
²⁷Glory be to the Lord Most High, and to His Son, Ajora Glabados, and to the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.
