CHAPTER 3
¹And it came to pass, in the twentieth year of His life, that Ajora departed from the house of His father and mother, and went forth into the wilderness, to commune with the Lord.
²For forty days and forty nights He fasted and prayed, and the beasts of the field did not harm Him, and the angels of the Lord ministered unto Him.
³And in the silence of the desert, the voice of the Lord came unto Him, saying, “Thou art My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased. Go forth, and proclaim the coming of Paradise.”
⁴Then Ajora returned from the wilderness, and His face shone with the light of Heaven, and His eyes were as flames of fire.
⁵He entered into the towns and villages, preaching the word of the Lord, and saying, “Repent ye, for the Kingdom of Heaven is at hand.”
⁶And many were astonished at His doctrine, for He taught them as one having authority, and not as the scribes.
⁷And He went throughout all Galadia, teaching in their temples, and healing all manner of sickness and all manner of disease among the people.
⁸And His fame went throughout all the land, and great multitudes followed Him, from Galadia, and from Lionel, and from Betalon, and from beyond the river.
⁹And it came to pass, as He walked by the sea of Murond, He saw two brethren, Velius and Duma, casting a net into the sea: for they were fishers.
¹⁰And He saith unto them, “Follow Me, and I will make thee fishers of men.”
¹¹And they straightway left their nets, and followed Him.
¹²And when He had gone a little further, He saw Zalera, and Zebeb his brother, mending their nets.
¹³And He called them: and they immediately left the ship and their father, and followed Him.
¹⁴And He went up into a mountain, and called unto Him whom He would: and they came unto Him.
¹⁵And He ordained twelve, that they should be with Him, and that He might send them forth to preach, and to have power to heal sicknesses, and to cast out devils.
¹⁶And these are the names of the twelve Apostles: Velius, Duma, Zalera, Zebeb, Hashmal, Ultima, Sel, Queklain, Rophochehe, Adrammelech, Cheraub, and Leviathan.
¹⁷These twelve did Ajora send forth, and commanded them, saying, “Go not into the way of the moneychangers:”
¹⁸“But go rather to the lost sheep of the house of Ivalice.”
¹⁹“And as ye go, preach, saying, ‘The Kingdom of Heaven is at hand.’”
²⁰“Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils: freely ye have received, freely give.”
²¹“Provide neither gold, nor silver, nor brass in thy purses,”
²²“Nor scrip for thy journey, neither two coats, neither shoes, nor yet staves: for the workman is worthy of his meat.”
²³And they went out, and preached that men should repent.
²⁴And they cast out many devils, and anointed with oil many that were sick, and healed them.
²⁵And the fame of Ajora spread abroad, and many said, “Is not this the prophet that should come into the world?”
²⁶Others said, “This is the Glabados, the Son of God.”
²⁷But some doubted, and said, “Can any good thing come out of Betalon?”
²⁸Nevertheless, the multitudes followed Him, and He had compassion on them, because they were as sheep not having a shepherd.
²⁹And He began to teach them many things, and to speak unto them in parables, and to reveal unto them the mysteries of the Kingdom.
³⁰And thus began the ministry of Ajora, the Glabados, the Son of God, who came to bring light to them that sit in darkness, and to guide our feet into the way of peace.
