CHAPTER 4
¹And it came to pass, as Leviathan beheld the vision, that the Lord, seated upon His throne of glory, did nod unto His Son, Ajora, signifying that the time was come to break the third seal.
²Ajora, with hands sanctified and pure, did take hold of the scroll, and with reverence, broke the third seal.
³Immediately, a great light shone forth from the Heavens, illuminating all corners of Ivalice.
⁴The voice of the Lord thundered across the firmament, saying, “Hearken, O ye nations, and give ear, O ye people!”
⁵“Behold, I proclaim the names of the greatest among My people, from the Beginning unto the End.”
⁶And though the names were not revealed unto Leviathan, he perceived the honor bestowed upon them.
⁷The Lord said, “These are they who have walked in My statutes and kept My commandments.”
⁸“They have turned not to the right hand nor to the left, but have remained steadfast in faith.”
⁹“I elevate them to be Saints in My Kingdom, and they shall sit at My table, clothed in garments of righteousness.”
¹⁰“Their names are inscribed in the Book of Life, and they shall dwell in My presence forevermore.”
¹¹The Heavens rejoiced, and the angels sang praises unto the Lord for His justice and mercy.
¹²Leviathan, witnessing these things, fell upon his face and worshiped the Lord, saying, “Great and marvelous are Thy works, O Lord God Almighty!”
¹³Then the Lord nodded again unto Ajora, and He broke the fourth seal.
¹⁴Ajora lifted His voice and proclaimed, “Thus saith the Lord: This is the Last Chance for Redemption.”
¹⁵“I grant unto the inhabitants of Ivalice a period of seven days to repent of their sins and seek forgiveness.”
¹⁶“Let every man examine his heart, and turn from his wicked ways.”
¹⁷“Let the unjust forsake his unrighteousness, and the sinner his iniquity.”
¹⁸“For the time is short, and the day of judgment draweth nigh.”
¹⁹“Whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.”
²⁰“But he that refuseth to repent shall be cast into outer darkness.”
²¹The people of Ivalice heard the proclamation, and fear fell upon them.
²²Some rent their garments and wept bitterly, seeking the Lord with all their hearts.
²³They confessed their sins and turned from their evil ways, crying out for mercy.
²⁴Others hardened their hearts and scoffed, saying, “These are but tales to frighten the simple.”
²⁵They continued in their wickedness, ignoring the signs and warnings.
²⁶The faithful gathered together, praying and fasting, interceding for the souls of the unrepentant.
²⁷They pleaded with the Lord to extend His mercy and grant more time for repentance.
²⁸But the Lord said, “Seven days have I appointed; no more shall be given.”
²⁹“My Spirit shall not always strive with man; the time of grace shall come to an end.”
³⁰During these days, signs and wonders appeared in the Heavens and on Ivalice.
³¹The sun was darkened, and the moon turned to blood.
³²Stars fell from the sky, and Ivalice shook with great earthquakes.
³³The seas roared, and the waves crashed upon the shores.
³⁴Men's hearts failed them for fear, and they sought refuge in the mountains and caves.
³⁵But there was no hiding place from the wrath of the Lord.
³⁶The faithful stood firm, trusting in the promises of the Lord.
³⁷They encouraged one another, saying, “Be strong and of good courage; the Lord is our refuge.”
³⁸They continued in prayer and supplication, seeking the Lord's face daily.
³⁹On the seventh day, the Lord spoke again, saying, “The time is fulfilled; the period of grace is ended.”
⁴⁰“Let every man be judged according to his deeds.”
⁴¹The faithful were gathered together, and the Lord set His seal upon them.
⁴²They were marked as His own, protected from the coming wrath.
⁴³The unrepentant were left to face the judgments that would follow.
⁴⁴Leviathan recorded all these things, as he was commanded, to bear witness to the vision.
⁴⁵He marveled at the mercy and justice of the Lord, and praised His holy name.
⁴⁶The angels in Heaven rejoiced over those who had repented and turned to the Lord.
⁴⁷They sang new songs of praise, glorifying the Lord for His salvation.
⁴⁸The throne of God was surrounded by a multitude of saints, clothed in white robes.
⁴⁹They bowed before the Lord, giving thanks for His grace and mercy.
⁵⁰Ajora stood beside the throne, His countenance shining with divine light.
⁵¹He looked upon the faithful with love and compassion, interceding on their behalf.
⁵²The Lord said unto Him, “Well done, My Son; Thou hast fulfilled My will.”
⁵³“Prepare now to break the fifth seal, for the time of judgment is at hand.”
⁵⁴Ajora bowed before the Lord, ready to carry out His command.
⁵⁵Leviathan continued to watch and record, his heart filled with awe and reverence.
