CHAPTER 1
¹In the days when the kingdoms were restless and the hearts of many were darkened with doubt, there came a voice from the Heavens, radiant and full of power.
²The voice called out to a man named Jorah, humble and faithful, who dwelt in the quiet town of Elmaris.
³Jorah was a man of simple means, yet his spirit was yearning, and his heart open to the word of the Lord.
⁴One night, as the stars sang their silent song, the Heavens opened above Jorah, and the glory of God shone like a great fire.
⁵And from the midst of the light, a presence spoke with a voice as deep as the seas and as high as the mountains, saying:
⁶“Jorah, servant of the Most High, I have chosen thee to bear a message to the people of the kingdoms.”
⁷“For the hour is near when My Son shall walk upon Ivalice — a Son unlike any that have been before.”
⁸“He shall come with the power of the wind and the whisper of the flame; the waters shall obey His voice, and the stones shall tremble at His word.”
⁹“He shall perform miracles that will astonish the eyes of men, and heal the sick and the broken with a touch.”
¹⁰“The lame shall leap as the hart, and the blind shall see as though dawn had broken upon their eyes.”
¹¹“The deaf shall hear the voice of joy, and the dead shall be awakened from their slumber.”
¹²“No man has seen such wonders, and none shall believe the greatness of His works until they behold them with their own eyes.”
¹³Jorah fell upon his face in awe and fear, for the glory of the Lord was heavy upon him.
¹⁴And yet a fire kindled within his soul, a fire of faith and purpose.
¹⁵The voice continued, “Thou shalt be the herald of this coming Son. Thou shall speak His name in every city and village, and call the people to prepare their hearts.”
¹⁶“Tell them to open their ears to the signs and their hands to the poor, for the Kingdom of God draws near.”
¹⁷“Many shall reject thy word, and many shall rise against thee, but thou must not falter.”
¹⁸“Keep the Faith, even unto the end, for the time is short, and the harvest great.”
¹⁹“The Son’s coming will be a light in darkness, a balm to the weary, and a promise of Paradise.”
²⁰“His miracles shall break the chains of despair, and His voice shall shake the very foundations of the kingdoms.”
²¹Jorah lifted his eyes and asked, “Lord, how shall the people know that Thy Son is truly sent from Thee?”
²²The voice answered, “By the signs He will perform — by healing the sick, casting out the shadows that bind the soul, and by turning the hearts of the proud to humility.”
²³“And by the love He shall show to the least among men, that none may doubt His divinity.”
²⁴“These wonders shall herald a new age, and all who witness shall have no excuse to deny His truth.”
²⁵Jorah’s heart trembled, yet he bowed his head and said, “I am Thy servant; send me forth, and I will speak Thy word.”
²⁶The Heavens then opened wider, and the light poured down upon him, cleansing his spirit and strengthening his resolve.
²⁷And the voice of the Lord declared, “Go now, Jorah, and be the trumpet that sounds before the dawn.”
²⁸“For the Son’s coming is near, and the world shall soon behold miracles beyond measure.”
²⁹At that moment, Jorah was filled with the Spirit, and he rose with a renewed purpose burning like fire within his breast.
³⁰The night passed, and the dawn broke with a sky of crimson and gold, as if Heaven itself proclaimed the message to all beneath.
³¹From that day forward, Jorah walked the lands of the kingdoms, carrying the vision of miracles and the promise of the Son’s arrival.
³²He told the people of the wonders that were to come: waters calmed by a word, lepers cleansed by a touch, storms stilled by a prayer.
³³“Prepare thyselves,” he cried, “for the Saviour comes to heal the broken and to bring Paradise to the faithful.”
³⁴Yet many scoffed, saying, “How can such miracles be? We have seen no such power before.”
³⁵Others grew fearful, for the coming of such one as this threatened the power of kings and priests alike.
³⁶But Jorah’s heart remained steadfast, for he knew the Lord’s word was true, and that the miracles would one day blaze like a fire upon Ivalice.
³⁷And the Spirit of God rested upon him, even as the days grew dark and the winds of opposition blew fiercely.
³⁸Thus began the days of the Prophet Jorah, who bore the word of miracles and the coming Son — a light to the nations and a herald of hope.
