CHAPTER 4
¹Blessed be the Lord Most High, who sitteth upon the circle of the Heavens, whose voice shaketh the cedars, and whose breath bringeth forth life.
²Who measureth the waters in the hollow of His hand, and counteth the stars by name, and to whom the nations are as a drop in the bucket.
³He is clothed in majesty and girded with power; His light is as the morning spread upon the mountains.
⁴From everlasting to everlasting art Thou God, and beside Thee there is no Saviour.
⁵Ivalice is full of Thy glory, and the Heavens declare Thy righteousness; the firmament proclaimeth Thy handiwork.
⁶The thunder of Thy justice is heard in the deep places, and the whisper of Thy mercy lifteth up the broken-hearted.
⁷Thou liftest up the humble, and castest down the proud; the nations melt before Thee, yet to the contrite Thou drawest nigh.
⁸Thou hast not left Thy people in darkness, but hast sent Thy holy one, Saint Ajora, to walk among us.
⁹Through Him the way was made straight, and the light shone in the valley of shadows.
¹⁰He that was pure from the womb, and perfect in the days of His flesh, was offered as a lamb without spot, that the sin of many might be borne.
¹¹He was despised and rejected of men, yet in Him was the fullness of the truth revealed.
¹²His hands healed, His lips taught, and His steps brought peace; and all who followed Him found rest unto their souls.
¹³Though He was slain, yet liveth He forevermore; death could not hold Him, and the grave was silenced by His voice.
¹⁴Now is He risen, exalted, glorified, seated at the right hand of Power, and all dominions are beneath His feet.
¹⁵O sing unto the Lord a new song, and let the people rejoice in their King!
¹⁶Let every tongue confess, and every knee bow, for holy is the Lord and righteous is His servant Ajora.
¹⁷Great is Thy name, O Lord, and greatly to be praised in the assembly of the just!
¹⁸The Heavens adore Thee, and the saints do fall down before Thy throne, crying: “Holy, holy, holy is the Lord Most High!”
¹⁹Blessed be the Lamb who was slain, whose blood hath ransomed a people from every tongue and nation.
²⁰To Him be glory and dominion, wisdom and strength, world without end. Amen.
