CHAPTER 4
¹O sing ye unto the Lord Most High, who rideth upon the winds, whose throne is set above the firmament!
²His voice is as thunder, yet sweeter than honey upon the tongue; His breath giveth life unto the dust.
³He is the fountain from which all rivers spring, the fire that burneth yet consumeth not, the light wherein is no darkness at all.
⁴The mountains melt at His appearing, and the deep calleth out His name in awe.
⁵He fashioned the stars and set them in their places, and to every beast He gave a name and a path.
⁶The works of His hands are terrible and wonderful, and none may add to them, neither diminish.
⁷Righteousness and judgment are the foundation of His seat; mercy and truth go before His face.
⁸Blessed be the Lord for evermore, who remembereth the lowly and upholdeth the just.
⁹Holy, holy, holy is the Lord of Hosts; all Ivalice is filled with His glory.
¹⁰And blessed be His Son, Saint Ajora, the Word made flesh, the Image of the Invisible, who walked among us full of grace and truth.
¹¹He came as a lamb to the slaughter, and opened not His mouth; He was wounded for our transgressions, and with His stripes are we healed.
¹²He bore the burden of sin upon His back, and descended unto the pit, yet the pit could not hold Him.
¹³For He rose triumphant, bearing the keys of death and of life, and ascended on high in majesty.
¹⁴He is our Advocate and our Hope, our Shepherd and our King.
¹⁵His word is as a double-edged sword, cutting asunder the false from the true.
¹⁶His gaze is pure fire, His hands full of healing, His feet swift to save.
¹⁷The nations are His inheritance, and the hearts of the faithful His delight.
¹⁸The saints cry out His name in gladness, and the angels bow before Him in unceasing song.
¹⁹Glory and dominion be unto Saint Ajora for ever and ever, for He is worthy.
²⁰Let every knee bow, and every tongue confess the glory of the Lord and His Son.
²¹Let the kings of Ivalice lay down their crowns, and the mighty learn wisdom at His feet.
²²Let the proud be humbled, and the lowly be lifted up.
²³Let the mountains clap their hands, and the rivers sing together for joy.
²⁴For the Lord is great, and His mercy endureth for ever; and Saint Ajora reigneth with Him, world without end. Amen.
