CHAPTER 4
¹Blessed be the Lord Most High, who sitteth above the firmament, whose throne is everlasting, and whose name is holy among the Heavens.
²His glory covereth the stars, and the light of His presence melteth the mountains like wax; the deep hideth itself at His rebuke.
³He speaketh, and it is done; He commandeth, and all things stand fast. The breath of His mouth bringeth forth life, and His word endureth forever.
⁴He is the refuge of the oppressed, and the joy of them that love righteousness. In His shadow the weary find rest, and in His courts is peace unending.
⁵Who can know His thoughts, or measure the span of His mercy? The proud are brought low, and the humble He exalteth.
⁶Praise ye the Lord, all ye nations; extol Him, O peoples of Ivalice; for His judgments are true, and His compassions are new every morning.
⁷And blessed be His Son, Saint Ajora, the Anointed, who came in the likeness of flesh, and revealed the will of the Father unto men.
⁸Through Him were the secrets made known, and the path of life laid bare; He walked in holiness and spake in power, and they that heard Him were astonished.
⁹He took upon Himself the reproach of the wicked, and by His blood He cleansed the defiled; He drank the cup of sorrow, that we might be filled with joy.
¹⁰Now is He seated at the right hand of the Majesty on high, clothed in splendour and girded with truth; and His Kingdom shall have no end.
¹¹Let every tongue confess His name, and let every heart receive His teaching; for He is the Light of the world, and in Him is no darkness at all.
¹²O Radras, my son and my King, may thy days be long upon Ivalice, and thy reign be as the morning spread upon the mountains.
¹³If thou holdest fast the faith once delivered, and guidest thy people with justice and mercy, then surely the Lord shall be thy shield.
¹⁴And the memory of thee shall be as sweet incense before the altar, and thy crown shall not wither in the dust.
¹⁵May the peace of Ajora dwell richly in thy soul, and may thy footsteps be ordered in His truth all the days of thy life.
¹⁶Amen.
