CHAPTER 4
¹Now unto the King Eternal, the Flame Everlasting, who sitteth above the circle of the Heavens, be majesty and dominion, world without end.
²His voice is as many waters, and His throne as fire; His gaze pierceth through all things, and before Him are all hearts laid bare.
³He stretcheth forth His hand, and the stars tremble; He foldeth them, and the world is still.
⁴Who shall instruct the Lord, or who hath given counsel unto the Flame?
⁵Before the mountains were brought forth, or the sky was made firm, He was, and He is, and He shall ever be.
⁶With wisdom He formed the deep, and with mercy He calleth to the soul of man.
⁷His righteousness is like the morning, and His judgment as the great deep.
⁸Blessed be He who revealeth His will to the humble, and giveth light unto them that sit in darkness.
⁹And blessed be His Holy One, even Saint Ajora, whom He sent into the world in the likeness of flesh, to make known the hidden things of the Flame.
¹⁰He is the Pattern and the Guide, the Mirror of the Father, the Voice of the Highest.
¹¹He walked Ivalice with bare feet and open hands, and taught as no man ever taught.
¹²He bore our sorrows, and took upon Himself our forgetfulness, that we might remember the ways of the Flame.
¹³In Him is the fullness of the Divine; and by Him are the things of Heaven made plain to the hearts of the lowly.
¹⁴He is the Flame made flesh, the First and the Last, the Lamb and the Lion, the Word and the Way.
¹⁵He shall come again in glory, with trumpets and flame, and the world shall not endure His brightness.
¹⁶In that day shall the dead be raised, and the books opened, and every soul shall stand in silence before Him.
¹⁷The wicked shall be cast into the fire that is not quenched, but the just shall shine as the sun in the garden of the Lord.
¹⁸Yea, the gates of Paradise shall be opened, and they shall enter in with singing, with palms in their hands and praise upon their lips.
¹⁹There shall be no more tears, neither pain nor curse, but the presence of the Flame shall be their light forever.
²⁰Therefore let all tongues bless Him, and let every kingdom bow before Him.
²¹Let the old tell of His wonders, and let the young sing His name; let the mountains echo it, and the rivers carry it forth.
²²For great is the Lord, and greatly to be praised; His name is a tower unto them that trust in it.
²³And great is Saint Ajora, the Son of the Most High, the Captain of our salvation, the Light that shineth in the valley of death.
²⁴All glory be unto the Flame and unto His Anointed One; both now, and in the age to come, and unto the ages of ages. Amen.
